Our picks to check
These are the same picks from our guides, chosen from owner reviews and maker specs (not hands-on testing). A pick being here does not mean it is on sale.
Reusable turf potty: PetSafe Pet Loo (Medium)
A reusable synthetic-grass potty with a tray and a removable waste bin underneath. Made for balconies and apartments.
Owners like: easy to clean, and some dogs use it right away. Common complaint: the grass mat can slip out of place, refills are pricey, and odor control is mixed.

A disposable pad of real, hydroponically grown grass. You throw it out when it's spent, with no rinsing.
Owners like: it helps with puppy potty training and many dogs take to it. Common complaint: the grass can die quickly or arrive tired, some dogs refuse it, and it's an ongoing cost.

Basic 5-layer disposable pads with a plastic backing; the budget staple for crates and floors.
Owners like: reliable and good value for potty training and senior dogs. Common complaint: thinner than expected, and leak reports are mixed. Large dogs may need X-Large (ASIN B016C6EJ4S).

An enzymatic cleaner for urine and other accidents on carpet, floors and fabric. Enzymes break down the odor that draws dogs back to the same spot.
Owners like: it works on pet stains and odors, especially carpet. Common complaint: the scent splits people; some find it strong or lingering. The maker warns against untreated hardwood, leather, suede, silk and wool.
Check price on AmazonPotty bells: Caldwell's Potty Bells
Bells on an adjustable strap that hangs from the door handle, so your dog can learn to ring to go out.
From the maker: an adjustable strap fits most door handles. The bells only work once you've trained the habit, so ring them every time you head to the potty spot.
Check price on AmazonWashable diapers: Pet Parents Washable Dog Diapers + Pawtect Pads bundle (Medium)
Three washable diapers with sewn-in absorbent pads and Velcro closures, plus two reusable pee pads.
From the maker: measure the waist before ordering. Medium fits about 14 to 20 inches, and other sizes have their own listings.

How to shop the sales
- Consumables like pads and enzyme cleaner are the best things to stock up on when the price is right.
- Check sizes before you buy. Pads and diapers come in several sizes with separate listings.
- Compare the per-pad or per-ounce price, not just the pack price.
- Look at the price history and compare with the regular price before you buy. A "deal" badge alone isn't proof of a discount.
